Straight talk
No surprises. Here's how estimates, approvals and repairs work at Reyes' Automotive Service, in plain language.
California law requires that you receive a written estimate before any work is performed on your vehicle. Your estimate itemizes labor and parts separately.
We don't begin any work until you authorize the repairs, in writing, orally or electronically.
All parts are identified as new, used, rebuilt or reconditioned. Any aftermarket (non-OEM) body parts are identified as such.
You're entitled to the return of replaced parts if you ask, unless the parts must go back to the manufacturer under warranty. You can request them when you authorize the repair.
If any part of your repair will be done by another repair facility, we disclose it on your estimate.
The parts and labor prices on your estimate are guaranteed for 30 days from the date it's issued. An estimate is an approximation based on our initial visual inspection.
If we find hidden damage, or discover that more parts and labor are needed to complete the repair safely, no additional work is done and no additional charges are added until we contact you and get your approval for the revised amount, orally, in writing or electronically.
Some problems can only be diagnosed by taking things apart. If a diagnostic teardown is needed to prepare your estimate, you pay for the labor to disassemble, inspect and reassemble your vehicle at our standard shop rate, even if you decide not to authorize the recommended repairs. Ask us for our standard rate.
Vehicles left at the shop more than 48 hours after we notify you that the job is complete may be subject to a daily storage fee. Please pick up your vehicle promptly.
This page is a plain-language summary. Your signed estimate and invoice are the complete terms for your repair.
Call or stop by. We're happy to walk you through it.
